Renowned as one of the leading business fairs in the viticulture sector in Latin America, Wine South America announces the new date for its 5th edition: from May 6 to 8, 2025, in Bento Gonçalves, in Serra Gaúcha, Southern Brazil. With this confirmation, the wine sector gains an international fair in Brazil in the first half of the year, meeting the wishes of many brands and professionals in the wine industry.
The wine market in Brazil has been growing significantly. With the fifth largest population in the world and the ninth largest global economy, the country has shown remarkable growth in wine consumption. Over the past five years, per capita wine consumption has increased by 30%, reflecting the growing appreciation for the beverage in the country. With more than 700 importing companies, Brazil now ranks 14th among the largest wine consumers in the world. These figures indicate an expanding market with great potential for the coming years.
Expectations for the 5th edition of WSA remain high. Over three days, the fair is expected to promote more than 2,000 business meetings, confirming its role as a platform for bringing together qualified buyers and fostering relationships and sales in the wine world.
The event is organized by Milanez & Milaneze, a company of the Veronafiere Group, which is a leader in organizing exhibitions in Italy and ranks second in business volume in Europe. Therefore, the Brazilian fair benefits from the expertise of Vinitaly, which has been the global reference fair in the wine sector for over 50 years.
Altogether, labels from around 20 countries will be presented at WSA by more than 360 exhibiting brands. Among the international highlights of the 5th edition will be the collective stand of Italy, promoted by ICE-ITA. The initiative’s space is expected to double in size compared to the previous edition. It is also worth mentioning that WSA will feature premium wineries from countries such as Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Spain, France, Portugal, Georgia, among others.
